I purchased this specifically for my sensitive 18&19 year old daughters who both bleed at the slightest amount of cuticle work, spoiling my photos for social media 😂. Not any more! This efile bit is so gentle, it feels soft to use. I use this in tiny fairy steps to start with but once pushed back I can then do a nice swooping motion, middle to left in forward and middle to right in reverse.

I don’t know why I call it the snake head bit - grandson probably- but this bit does an amazing job not only lifting the cuticle but the hardest dead tissue. I work my with hands making new / refinishing repurposing furniture and with metals making jewelry, using salt acids for etching and other chemicals before and after soldering pieces. I used this on myself until I was comfortable and although gentle it really chews up the hard dead cuticles I build up even with a lot of cuticle oil. This is one of my favorite bits. For new clients that aren’t used to the efile manicure work (other than a sanding band) it is a lot less intimidating to look at than the flame shaped lifters.
I hope to never be without 2 backups of not just this bit but of whole KB line of bits.
